People usually complain about Monday because for many it is their day to start a week of work; at the same time many of these folks become very thankful to God on Friday afternoon when they leave their work area. Some complain all week long because they are unhappy with what they do or because they have issues pending with co-workers. In bad economic times like today, we should not be whining or complaining about our jobs. Currently, about ten percent of the American population is not complaining about Monday simply because they do not have a job to complain about. Therefore, they now wish to have a place to go to work on Monday. We should thank God that it is Monday.

That means we have a place to go and a job to do where our skills and talents become useful. Every time we are able to get up in the morning with our five senses properly at work we should be thankful. Every day when we have the freedom to choose from many alternatives, we should be thankful. We should be grateful just to have the ability to communicate with others. Indeed there is so much to be thankful if we really consider many details in our lives. For example, a high percentage of the world population is either starving, incarcerated, oppressed or dealing with a deadly disease. So before you count your pains and sorrows, learn always to first count your blessings. Affliction is a normal part of life and we must learn to deal with it.

God offers us thru His son Jesus Christ the following “These things I have spoken unto you that in me you might have peace. In the world you shall have tribulation: but be a good cheer; I have overcome the world” John 16:33. By accepting Jesus Christ as Lord and Savior, you will discover a very optimistic global point of view. Would you accept Him today as your Lord and Savior and learn to overcome the effects of the world? Once you make that decision you will learn that every day is a special day including Mondays.

“Bless the LORD, O my soul, and forget not all his benefits: Who forgiveth all thine iniquities; who healeth all thy diseases; Who redeemeth thy life from destruction; who crowneth thee with lovingkindness and tender mercies; Who satisfieth thy mouth with good things; so that thy youth is renewed like the eagle's.The LORD executeth righteousness and judgment for all that are oppressed.” Psalm 103:2-6
