bullet End of days?

We live in a time when people in general are concerned with the things which are to come. Many programs on TV and in the movies, target those with an appetite for more knowledge of the last days. Are we really living in the last days? Every generation of humanity has considered this question during their lifetime. What makes it so different today? The difference is that in our generation, all signs concerning the last days are happening simultaneously. The combination of prophesies directly from the Bible, and even secular visionaries, continue to amaze us with the accuracy regarding the signs of the last days. Signs range from natural disasters to political unrest, famine and lawlessness. We hear of rumors of wars, but we are told not to be troubled, for such things must happen, but the end is not yet. “For nation shall rise against nation, and kingdom against kingdom: and there shall be earthquakes in divers places, and there shall be famines and troubles: these are the beginnings of sorrows.” (Mk 13:8). Definitely, we are at the beginning of the end according to experts of eschatology. If you watch programs like the History Channel and Discovery, you will find a big interest in this topic. They also warn us about the signs in the universe. A simple fisherman like the apostle Peter also mentioned that the elements will melt with fervent heat. He foretells of a future meltdown. So what can we do as residents of this planet and as the generation of the last days?

The first thing we need to consider is that the Creator is seeking repentance from mankind. In the heart of God is a desire to save people, instead of letting them perish. It is all a matter of changing our heart and our attitude. By confessing our sins, we demonstrate a change of heart, and by repenting of our sins we affect our behavior. Therefore we should not fear these days, because no matter what happens, God has a plan for all of those that repent. Just confess Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. As you give your life to Jesus, you will discover the abundance of His grace, love and everlasting relationship. Would you do that today? This is the day the Lord has made for you, and He wants you to avoid the day of great judgment which will come to all sinners.

“But the heavens and the earth, which are now, by the same word are kept in store, reserved unto fire against the day of judgment and perdition of ungodly men.”
2 Pedro 3:7
