bullet THE POWER OF THE MIND

When we gaze at the Seven Wonders of the World, we become amazed with the level of human ingenuity, brilliance and mental power. The human mind is the greatest wonder of the world. Personally, I have seen with my own eyes the famous Taj Mahal in India and also the great mechanical structure of the Eiffel Tower. Theses wonders didn’t happen overnight. It all started with and individual having a dream to build an edifice to last for posterity. Certainly to accomplish such wonders, these people had to agree with others on human engineering and the proper use of resources in order to complete their projects. Many of the science fiction movies stimulate our senses with the creative power of people like George Lukas, the creator of Star Wars, or James Cameron, the creator of Avatar. What these people have in common is a drive toward imagining and placing their best efforts to conceive completely new ideas which were only abstract in their minds.

In our days when there is a search for artificial intelligence, nothing can match the awesome power of the human mind. Regardless of what computers can do with numbers and information, no one has been able to invent a technology that has its own emotions and conscious. It is only the brilliant human mind that is endowed with a moral conscious. Thus, the brain itself becomes a powerful and precious tool created by God.

When God created the human race, He gave the best hardware to humanity with the purpose of dominating, managing and reaching a full potential. The organization named “The Negro college fund” had a powerful marketing approach. It used to say: ”A mind is a terrible thing to waste.” I agree totally with this motto. What comes into the mind is filtered by the ability to produce ideas for the benefit of the advancement of the human race. The God of the Bible exhorts us to renew our mind and avoid conformity to the pattern of this world, but instead to transform the productivity of our mind according to His will. No one knows your inner thoughts except the God that created you. “How precious to me are your thoughts oh God! How vast is the sum of them” These were the words of a brilliant poet named King David, who understood the principle that in order to have a healthy and productive mind we must submit our mind to our creator. He is the one that will open our mind to the purpose and significance of our lives. Through God we find purpose and productivity fit for a healthy and developing mind. Are you willing to surrender which includes your mind to your creator? Would you like your thoughts to become a productive force? Would you like your life to be transformed by renewing your thinking process? All you have to do is accept the son of God as your Lord and Savior and thus become the next spiritual person. In Christ the spiritual man makes judgments about all things, but he himself is not subject to any judgment: “For who has known the mind of the Lord that he may instruct Him: but we have the mind of Christ.

Empower your mind today by confessing Jesus Christ as your Lord and Savior. You will discover a new an awesome way to think.

I beseech you therefore, brethren, by the mercies of God, that ye present your bodies a living sacrifice, holy, acceptable unto God, which is your reasonable service. And be not conformed to this world: but be ye transformed by the renewing of your mind, that ye may prove what is that good, and acceptable, and perfect, will of God. Romans 12:1-2
