In our days, people are dealing with many uncertainties. They are preoccupied with a tsunami of worries and concerns. They hear bad news in the global front and sometimes in their intimate surroundings. The reality is that we are dealing with a vast form of negativism coming from all kinds of media sources. If life is about reasoning with all this adversity, we will certainly perish in an attitude of hopelessness and despair.

How can we protect ourselves from people and situations that can rob our joy? The answer is simple, as we learn to trust the God of the Bible, we will experience the real joy of life and renew our strength in Him. We must learn to look unto Jesus the author and finisher of our faith; who for the joy that was set before Him endured the cross, despise the shame, and He set down at the right hand of the throne of God (Hebrews 12:2). Jesus took all the pain and shame of life at the cross for us. Therefore, we must learn to release all our troubles and anxieties to Him. This way we will discover an attitude of joy in our hearts. Yes, as we walk with Jesus, we will experience the joy of life even when we face adversity.

Make the joy of the Lord your daily pill for your strength; count on His joy to face your daily struggles. If you do not know that particular level of joy, it is time that you give your life in fullness to our Lord Jesus Christ. It is time to confess Him with your mouth as your Savior and believe in your hear that His is Lord over every issue of your life. Once you do that, you will eventually experience the essence of shouting for joy from the deepest areas of your heart. “But let all those that put their trust in you rejoice: let them ever shout for joy, because you defend them: let them also that love your name be joy full in you” (Psalm 5:11)

“eat the fat, and drink the sweet, and send portions unto them for whom nothing is prepared: for this day is holy unto our LORD: neither be ye sorry; for the joy of the LORD is your strength.” Nehemiah 8:10
