Every time we start a new year, we are usually hopeful and optimistic about the possibilities in our lives. We set a motion plans and goals to accomplish favorable changes. However, as time goes by, we encounter unexpected challenges that would threaten the very essence of such dreams. Realistically speaking, life is full of good, bad, and even catastrophic surprises. In fact, tragedy has ways to overshadow all of our hopes and desires. So how can life make sense when we face adversity, affliction, or lack of resources? The answer to that question depends on anchors we depend on when we face lifes storms.
For example, we just finished a year full of economic despair and major concerns. Experts agree that we are facing an unprecedented global recession and possible depression. Only a few months ago, the Real Estate industry collapsed causing banks and financial organizations to seek cover from the storm. Nations began a bailout process to rescue failing industries and financial markets. The media is reporting state governments like California are on the verge of bankruptcy. Who is safe during these dark hours of man?
Fortunately, in the middle of any crisis, the just will have their needs met abundantly. How can this be? God promises to open fountains of quenching waters in the middle of our desert. He promises to satisfy our hunger with his goodness. His good news is available for anyone who looks to Him to be their anchor during the storm. He is the Strong Tower where the just can run and be lifted up by a loving God. He promised to never leave us or forsake us.
How can you relate to such an awesome God? The answer is simple; accept Gods gift of redemption and restoration. Turn your life over to the Lordship of Jesus Christ, the Son of God. Believe and confess Jesus as your Lord and Savior, and prepare to experience life abundantly. Regardless of the world economy, God has a special plan designed just for you. Start the New Year under his secured plan, you will not regret it. Begin to have a spiritual bounty by fellowshipping with your maker.
The LORD knoweth the days of the upright:
and their inheritance shall be for ever.
