Desperate times call for desperate measures

There are times when we experience major crisis in our lives. Out of desperation, people turn to what they truly value to confront their struggles. Some run to a bottle to subdue the pain and avoid confronting their issues, and some simply isolate themselves from the rest of the world. They try to escape reality, diving in to a problem free realm of fantasy far less threatening than their real lives. Yet others in their desperation seek God. In troubled times and desperate moments, there is no shame in calling out to God, even if you do not know him. It really does not matter. He knew you in your mothers womb.
Throughout the Bible, we find examples of men and women taking desperate measures to find God in their great time of need. A Jewish official once came to Jesus hoping against hope for his daughter to be resurrected, a woman who suffered with severe bleeding for twelve years longed only to touch the hem of his garment to be healed, two blind men desperately cried out to Jesus to receive sight, and this was just one day in Jesus ministry. All these people received answers to their impossible situations.
Jesus is the same yesterday, today, and forever. He still meets desperate people in their time of need. Are you desperate enough to come to the knowledge of Him? Will you be willing to cast all your cares and worries upon him because he loves you? If that is the case, confess Him with your mouth and receive Him in your heart as your Lord and Savior. He has promised never to leave you nor forsake you. Today is the day to release all your problems and take the most desperate of measures to know His faithfulness.
