Pastoral Biography

He has 36 years of being happily married to Olivia Cárdenas and from their love, Jorgie, Christina and Carolina were brought from God. The Lord also blessed them with Evelin Cardenas Durango, daughter in-law, sons in law John Montgomery, Israel Bujano and grandson Josh.

At the age of 12, Pastor Jorge Cardenas received the Lord Jesus Christ as his Savior. He has been distinguished for his love and fight for social justice for every ethnic group and social class. He has traveled through many nations sharing the Word of God.

In 1983 he received a degree in business administration from the University of Houston majoring in finance and accounting. Then worked at First City Bank for 8 years. He was called to teaching and received his masters in bilingual education at Houston Baptist Univserity, and a masters degree in family counseling from the International Bible College.

In 1999, after hearing the Lord's call, he decided to serve full time at Church on the Rock Katy. His personal vision as a pastor: "To serve the Lord faithfully equipping the saints for the 21st century, under the guidance of the Holy Ghost."
